GARA DI SONETTO IN LINGUA INGLESE NELLA CLASSE 4 BL

Al termine del percorso sullo studio del sonetto elisabettiano, gli allievi della classe 4 BL si sono cimentati nella creazione di un sonetto a tema libero. Tutte le “opere” sono state lette in classe dai loro autori e due sono stati i sonetti scelti dagli allievi, uno dedicato alla mamma e l’altro alla squadra del cuore, la Juventus.

MESSAGE TO MY  MUM

I would like to be like you
So perfect, so nice
I would like to understand you
And read your thoughts in  your eyes.

You are always with me
Like the sun with the sky
And you protect me
But you have to let me fly.

Oh yes, you’re worried
For the world that there’s outside
But I can go, I’m not a child
And I’m sure you are always on my side.

So be calm,
I love you because you are my mum.

OLD WOMAN

Since I was a child you’ve been my passion
And nothing like you can male me smile when I’m sad
Even if your black and white stripes are out of fashion
Of you I will always be glad.

I have seen triumphs and defeats,
Cupid hit me with a harrow
In good or eveil you’ve make my heart sweet
I’m sure I’m full of you to the marrow

They call you “Old Woman” I guess,
You passed through the two big wars,
For years you have been blessed
In times when TV used to have two colours, yours.

The only thing I can do now
Is looking at you and screaming wow!
